You have been reading about the SOFI Knowledge Map for over a year now and we have been accepting users and data for a few months. Here at SOFI, we are very excited about what the Knowledge Map can do for you as a solar fuels researcher and we want to make the process as easy as possible.
To achieve this, we have set out to assemble a collection of videos on “how to” do various items around the Knowledge Map. For instance, there are multiple way to access and use the Knowledge Map. You can log in with various social media accounts OR you can set up a unique SOFI Knowledge Map user profile. We suggest you set up a local SOFI Knowledge Map profile, not to make you remember another username or password, but to make accumulating points easier. For example, if you log in to do some Quick Categorization with your Facebook account on Monday, and come back on Wednesday using your Twitter account, the point totals from Wednesday won’t add to the points you gathered on Monday!
To help with the process of creating a unique SOFI Knowledge Map user profile, we have put together a video of how to create a user account! Some things to keep in mind:
- We want to know about our users so feel free to give some information about yourself in the Bio section.
- Have a photo of yourself, upload it and personalize your account even more.
- Remember, after the initial registration process you will receive and automated email from the Knowledge Map directing you to verify your email and set your password! This might take a few minutes – if it has been 5 mins and you don’t have an email in your Inbox, check your “junk” or “spam” folders, it may have been filtered.
We will be putting together more videos in the near future. If you have comments on this video, let us know – we want your feedback. Have suggestions for our next video? Feel free to let us know, comment below!
